What Kelly Means

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.

You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.

People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.

You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.

You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.

You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

Update!

I finished the birthday scarf and just need to add the edging on the ballet shrug. I feel so good! It was like only 3 more inches ... and then bam! time to cast off! Pics to come, I have to figure how to put them on my flickr account.

knitting madness

Why is it so hard to finish a knitting project? I have a scarf, three shrugs, a Clapotis and a first sock of a pair. All I want to do is start a new project! Everyone seems to be making beautiful socks and I want to make them too. ( temper tantrum begins) ME WANT! ME WANT!

Ok all done. Got to get back to my WIP/ UFO's!

My Birthday

This weekend I had my birthday! The kids and DP took my out for dinner and it was enjoyable. (there were no dishes to wash!) There is nothing worse than to make your own birthday dinner and have to clean it up too.

Hope y'all had a nice weekend also!

I read about this on Moth Heaven and decided that this is what I need to get my knitting finished!

The Mission Possible challenge is to take 12 knitting things over the next 12 months, and finish them. It can be yarn, ufos, untried skills, whatever. To each their own, but it's the list that is the point. So here's my personal Mission Possible pledge. 12 UFO's by the end of the year. Here they are in no particular order:

WIPs:
1. Birthday scarf
2. wavy ribbed scarf
3. shimmer shrug
4. ballet shrug

Stash:
1. tater cotton cardi
2. psychedelic afgan squares
3. rippled baby blanket
4. pants on fire

To do for me:
1. Ophelia top
2. Very Necessary Sweater
3. Clapotis
4. Monkey socks

I saw this on yaiAnn and I thought this was a great idea. So guess what? It's my turn!

"It's the Pay It Forward Exchange, based on the concept of the movie "Pay it Forward" where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return... just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness continue to pass it along as well. Here's how it works: I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won't be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that's a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog."
